Things you should know before buying a ukulele.
Hey there! And welcome to my blog.
As the name suggests here I’ll be telling you everything
you need to know before buying a ukulele. If not everything then at least some
of the important things that I know and you should too.

Introduction to ukulele
To start with the introduction of the instrument
‘Ukulele’ is a four-stringed instrument unlike guitar a ukulele is smaller in
size with nylon strings.
It was introduced to Hawaii by Portuguese immigrants. It
gained great popularity in the United States during the early 20th century and
now in India too.
How to select a size?
Ukulele comes in various shapes and sizes. But some
common ukulele shapes are Soprano, Concert, Tenor, and Baritone.

Even
though these are the common types of ukulele, nowadays we have lots of
other options too. One such in the hype is the electric ukulele.
The
sound and volume of every ukulele depend on its shape, size, string quality,
and material.
Be sure about the material!
Speaking of which, the material of the ukulele
is also a very important factor. Ukulele made up of koa wood, mahogany wood, or
spruce wood is generally considered good but is also expensive. But if you want
to keep it under budget you can go for laminated wood or of any other material
too, just make sure that it belongs to a good
company.
My personal sugesstion
A well-known brand for ukulele is ‘Kala' and if you want
to buy it online you might want to visit ‘bajaoo.com’ because it has a variety of
instruments. One of the drawbacks of ‘bajaoo.com’ could be the slow delivery,
but at least your product is assured!
For a beginner?
For beginners, I would suggest “beginners kit Ukulele" by
Kala as it is cheap and also helps in learning the basic chords. If you would
buy Kala's ukulele they will provide you a code through which you will get
access to a document with basic ukulele chords and songs, and also Kala's app which will
help you tune your ukulele and learn some new songs.
